Profitable Flight: What it Takes for OEMs and the UAS Industry to Thrive
Wednesday, April 24 at 2:00 PM
Session # XPO24-EAGS-0808

Join PteroDynamics Chief Revenue Officer Rich Brasel for an interactive presentation about how unmanned aerial systems (UAS) OEMs can build a pathway to profitability.

Rich Brasel

Chief Revenue Officer

A former DoD Major Program Manager and Naval aviator, Rich is an experienced business development professional in the aviation industry. He has over 20 years of experience developing, testing, and fielding unmanned aerial systems (UAS), was a U.S. Navy test pilot, and served as the Commanding Officer of the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School. Rich has a BS in Geology from Eastern Illinois University, an MA in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College, and an MS in Technical Management from The Johns Hopkins University.
The UAS industry is just starting to take wing. Aviation industry history shows that this is the best time to focus on business fundamentals of bringing to market new solutions that perform missions better and cheaper, are safe and reliable, and are profitable for operators, OEMs, customers, suppliers, and investors.

Rich will be joined on stage by Jef Geudens, Head of Technology for advanced air mobility service provider Skyports Infrastructure, who will provide an operator’s perspective on what it takes to succeed in the market now and in the future.

Join Rich and Jeff to learn about:

• The Path Forward to Profitability: What the history of commercial aviation teaches us as UAS technology develops to maturity

• The Customer’s POV: The requirements, key parameters, and expectations from OEMs from a current commercial operator’s perspective (Skyports Infrastructure)

• Critical Focal Points for OEMs to Support Customers: The critical issues for operators that OEMs can focus on to meet customers’ regulatory and safety requirements, operational efficiency objectives, and profitability goals

• OEM Perspective: PteroDynamics’ efforts to make UAS aircraft that are safe and turn a profit for commercial operator customers at the earliest possible time
